Why save web pages at all

Content may be lost, but what you saved won’t. Links rot, WeChat articles get deleted, servers shut down — the things truly worth rereading should stay, whole, on your own device.

The moment you save an article, ReadKeeps stores a full snapshot of the page together with its extracted text on your device. From then on, you don’t depend on anyone’s server.

Two ways to read

Use the switch in the top-right corner to move between Live Page and Reader View. Live Page shows the page exactly as it was when you saved it; Reader View gives you clean typesetting, with adjustable font, size, line spacing, page width and three themes.

Highlights and notes

Select any passage to add a highlight in one of four colors, and attach a note if you like. Try tapping a highlight that has a note — the yellow one above, for example.

Saving WeChat articles

In a WeChat Official Account article, tap “…” in the top-right corner and choose “Copy Link”, then come back to ReadKeeps to save it in one tap. Turn on clipboard detection in Settings and ReadKeeps will remind you automatically.
